A high end multi residential scheme in Bellevue Hill, featuring 25 generous garden homes in a richly landscaped setting. The site is both engaging and complex, falling steeply from the primary street address to the edge of a natural sandstone escarpment that defines the southern curtilage of Cooper Park. It offers dramatic views towards the city skyline, and presents a highly visible canvas for a crafted and considered architectural response.
The architectural response to the site breaks the project down to create a sequence of smaller scale and discrete buildings that flow down the site. This approach ensures that every residence has a true sense of address and enjoys outstanding access to sunlight, cross ventilation, and views.
UP Architects were engaged by the client as the lead consultant for the project, with responsibility for the architectural concept, apartment planning, approvals process and documentation. Smart Design Studio were collaborating architect engaged for the project interior design.
